The Afrad Nchater community hall
A safe, suitable and accessible space for the douar’s cultural, educational, social and training activities — and a venue made available to local associations and partners.
Today our workshops are held wherever we can. This hall will finally give them a roof.

Project goals
- Provide a safe, suitable and accessible space for cultural, educational, social and training activities.
- Support the independence of young people and women through languages, computing, life skills and vocational training.
- Build community momentum around culture, education and civic participation.
- Back local initiatives and strengthen living together.
Planned activities
- Language workshops (French, English) and an introduction to computing and coding.
- Training for young people and women: crafts, entrepreneurship, sewing, cooking, technology.
- Awareness work on health, the environment and citizenship.
- Homework support and after-school activities.
- Sport (football, surfing) and creative activities.
- The hall made available to associations and partners.
What the hall includes
- A main multi-purpose room.
- An administrative office.
- Sanitary facilities.
- Equipment: tables, chairs, a board, audiovisual kit, a mobile library.
Expected impact
- Better access to education and training in a rural area.
- Stronger skills and independence for young people and women.
- A stronger community fabric and closer cooperation.
- Sustainable local development.
